Estate Planning and Probate Attorney
Sean P. Culligan is a Probate and Estate Planning Attorney. A San Francisco Bay Area native, he has been representing clients in Contra Costa County and Solano County since 2012. He has also represented clients in counties throughout the Bay Area and the state of California. In his 10 years of practice, he has represented numerous clients in probates, trust administrations, trust litigation cases, conservatorship proceedings, and elder abuse cases. He has extensive experience drafting wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance health care directives.
Prior to opening the Culligan Law Firm, Mr. Culligan worked with a law firm that specializes in trust litigation, with a focus on undue influence and elder abuse. He is very familiar with the substantive law and the procedural requirements that must be met for his clients to have their day in court. He has a thorough understanding of his cases and the evidence that must be presented to the judge so the judge can make an informed decision based on the facts and law.
Mr. Culligan understands his client’s case is not just another file. He has witnessed the stress and heartache a client goes through when experiencing a loss in the family, or when a family dispute arises after the death of a loved one, or when a family member is trying to assist a loved one that no longer has mental capacity. He practices law with understanding, empathy, and compassion.
When Mr. Culligan is not working, he spends time with his family. In his extra time, he likes to play a few rounds of golf, go for long walks, and practice his barbeque skills.
Mr. Culligan is a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association, Solano County Bar Association, and the California Lawyers Association.
